A delightful fusion of Korean garlic bread and bagels featuring a creamy, garlicky filling that warms the soul.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 plain bagels
  • 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a hint of spice

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, softened butter, chopped parsley, and milk. Mix well until the ingredients are smoothly combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Carefully slice the bagels in half. Toast them in a toaster or on a skillet until they reach your desired level of golden brown.
  3. Once toasted, take the cream cheese mixture and generously spread it on each half of the bagels.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the bagel halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are bubbly and golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute. If you desire a spicy kick, sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top.

Notes

Store leftover bagels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a toaster or oven before serving.
