A bright and zesty Lemon Garlic Chicken recipe with a delicious lemon butter sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Once the skillet is hot, add the chicken and let it cook until golden brown and cooked through, which should take about 6 to 7 minutes per side.
  2. Set Aside the Chicken: After your chicken is cooked to perfection, remove it from the skillet and set it aside. You want to keep all those flavorful bits left in the pan!
  3. Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic. Sauté it for about 30 seconds until it becomes fragrant. Keep an eye on it — burnt garlic is not your friend!
  4. Add Lemon Juice: Pour in your lemon juice and bring it to a simmer. This is where you get to scrape up any browned bits from the skillet, adding tons of flavor to your sauce.
  5. Make It Buttery: Stir in the butter and let it melt into the sauce, creating a rich, velvety texture.
  6. Coat the Chicken: Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s well coated in that beautiful lemon butter sauce.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Serve the chicken hot, garnished with fresh lemon slices and a sprinkle of parsley for that pop of color!

Notes

Use fresh garlic and lemons for the best flavor. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or a vibrant salad.
